Kabando Wa Kabando's Mother Hacked To Death By Last Born Son

Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando wa Kabando’s mother was hacked to death by his youngest brother in cold blood. Ms Rose Wachera Mwangi, 70, was allegedly murdered at Kaini Village in Mukurwe-ini.

According to witnesses Ms Mwangi was at home with her son Caesar Thiari, 40, who is in police custody where he is being investigated over the murder of his mother.

A relative, Ms Agnes Njeri Macharia, said she was returning home from church with friends when they heard screams from the compound.Njeri said that they also started screaming and attempting to jump over the high perimeter wall but were unable.

She said her cousin emerged from the gate brandishing a panga and chased them away. They ran for their lives and sought refuge in a neighbour’s home as he was armed with a panga.

She added that the MP’s mother had missed the day’s church service and had been left home together with her son. Area Nyumba Kumi team leader Maina Karanja claimed the suspect was mentally ill. -

Jastorina Is Dead

Nancy Nyambura, also known as Jastorina, has passed on.

Nyambura used to play a funny househelp on the Citizen TV show "Jastorina" that airs on Saturday afternoons at around 5pm. It was a show that addressed the issues surrounding mistreatment of househelps in Kenya through comedy. Her and "Mama Kevo" shared a chemistry that many agree was special. She also used to have a cameo role on the courtroom comedy "Mashtaka" before breaking out as the main star of her own show. Nyambura had been suffering from meningitis, a bacterial infection of the brain, and allegedly suffered a stroke that is believed to have lead to her death. Just yesterday she won a Kalasha award for Best Actress 2014. She leaves behind two sons. RIP

Here’s the Last Note Juliana’s Son Left Before He Passed On

Juliana Kanyomozi’s friends and fans from across the region are still mourning the passing of her only son, Keron, last Sunday.

Speaking to Carol Kasujja of New Visionnewspaper, Keron’s dad, Amon Lukwago says his son Keron Raphael Kabugo was in high spirits hours before he died on Sunday in Nairobi.

Amon and Keron’s mother Juliana flew to Nairobi, Kenya on July 13 where the 11-year-old boy had been referred for medical attention after an asthma attack.

Camera-shy Amon said, “As we travelled to Nairobi, we were communicating. Although he was unable to talk, he was able to scribble a few lines and even wrote me a note promising me that he was going to be strong.

“It was at that moment that I broke down and cried because I saw that he was really fighting for his life. I had hopes that he was going to be fine. Keron has been a strong boy.”

On Wednesday, the distraught dad, sitting on a couch in the main lounge of the family home in the Kawuku-Bunga city suburb, shared his son’s last moments, including a note which he said was now a treasure.

The note reads: “I am used to needles now. Do you know how many injections I have got and I did not feel pain not even crying.
