Look at what SK MACHARIA wants from RAILA, KALONZO, WETANGULA - 800 million!

The just concluded Saba Saba rallies seem to have renewed the ongoing rivalry between Royal Media Service (RMS) founder SK Macharia and CORD Principals. Macharia, who owns a chain of radio stations and Citizen TV, was one of financiers of Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign in last year’s poll. Macharia pumped Sh 800 million to former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga’s campaign vehicle to oppose the Presidential bid of President Uhuru Kenyatta. He even went ahead to use all resources at his disposal to campaign for Raila Odinga who eventually suffered a humiliating defeat from President Uhuru Kenyatta. SK had even gone to an extent of refusing to air adverts of President Kenyatta during the Presidential campaigns. But now, the Royal Media founder wants his money back. SK has written a letter to former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, requesting a refund of Sh 800million which he had loaned CORD Coalition during the campaign period. ‘It is now past one year and you have not settled the amount as we agreed in January 2013,’ Macharia wrote. “I hope you will settle it before the end of July to avoid any legal battle,” Macharia added.
